Schaffer Sound Disc Jockeys is a family owned and operated business. Our founder, Ken Schaffer, started the company in 1977 at the ripe old age of fourteen! He started providing DJ entertainment for grade schools and friends' parties and as he grew older, the events he and his staff performed at became more diverse and demand for his company's services soared. Soon, those same students he was playing for in school gymnasiums and cafeterias were getting married and many hired his company to perform at their weddings! Ken gradually handed the reins of the company over to the very capable hands of his brothers, Jon and Dave Schaffer.

The company has been blessed with numerous awards and company highlights
over the years. Here are just a few:

  • In February of 2011, the company received the Wedding Wire's Brides Choice Award.

  • We have won best Disc Jockey Company for the past 5 consecutive years from
    The Daily Times Newspaper.

    on numerous occasions.

  • We are a four time winner of the prestigious "Best of Mainline Today Magazine" issue.

  • The company had the great privilege to provide the entertainment
    for Governor Rendell's two inaugurations.

In addition, we have been interviewed on television by Lynn Doyle of CN8, asked to write articles for the Philadelphia Inquirer, and have given interviews on radio and in print, all attesting to the company's high standards.
